OSSINING, N.Y. - A busy Ossining roadway will be completely closed down for more than a week as Con Edison completes emergency work in the area.
The closures began on Thursday, Nov. 9 and are expected to last through Friday, Nov. 17.
Central Avenue will be closed from the Main Street intersection to Water Street while Con Edison performs the emergency work near the bottom of the hill. The closure extends to permit parking spots at the bottom of Central Avenue.
Officials from the Ossining Police Department said the entire roadway had to be closed during the emergency project and they didn’t want motorists to get to the bottom of the hill, just to have to turn around.
