Vehicle Loses Control, Hits Tree On Taconic Parkway In Northern Westchester Emergency crews were sent to the Taconic State Parkway in Northern Westchester after a vehicle lost control and struck a tree, injuring the driver.  The incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 24 around 6:45 p.m., when fire crews responded to the southbound Taconic State Parkway in the area of the Mohansic Avenue ramp for a reported crash.  According to the Yorktown Heights Fire Department, arriving crews found out that a vehicle had spun out and hit a tree after losing control.  The driver was later taken to an area trauma center by the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.&…

Car Bursts Into Flames After Crash On Taconic Parkway A driver suffered injuries when a car burst into flames after crashing on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway Thursday night. The southbound crash occurred around 8 p.m. near Route 134 in Yorktown, with the vehicle landing on its side before the fire broke out. While responding, Yorktown Heights Fire Department units were updated that the driver may have been ejected from the vehicle.
