A drunk driver was hit with several charges after allegedly striking another vehicle in Northern Westchester and then crashing his own car while fleeing the scene as officers closed in, police said. The incident happened on Saturday, June 3 around 9 p.m., when Yorktown Police received a report that a vehicle had hit another car on Route 202 and driven away. A 69-year-old man allegedly violated a court-issued order of protection in Northern Westchester by texting someone, police said. The Yorktown Police Department announced the arrest of Peekskill resident Michael Rispoli, who was charged with a misdemeanor count of second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly sending messages to his victim. A 37-year-old Northern Westchester man is facing charges for claiming he was shot at during a robbery over a stolen car that never happened, police said. A 30-year-old woman has been charged with DWI after police say she was found in a stopped vehicle in Northern Westchester. A 21-year-old man was killed after driving into a utility pole in an early morning crash on Route 202 near Yorktown Police Headquarters. Police are investigating the crash that took the life of Yorktown resident Alexander Delic, who was killed in a one-vehicle crash at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
