A suspicious fatal fire is under investigation in Westchester. The blaze led to the death of a 75-year-old man and left a 49-year-old woman with severe burns over more than 75 percent of her body, officials said. First responders from the Yonkers police and fire departments responded to a Waverly Street home shortly after 3:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, when a fire broke out in the building. A former area resident who went on the run may spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of murdering a Westchester man. Former Yonkers resident Anthony Burton, who most recently lived in Pensacola, Florida, was found guilty of murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon following a trial for the murder of a Yonkers man in April 2016 earlier this year. Former Westchester Resident Extradited From Florida To Face Murder Charge
A former area resident has been extradited from Florida and is facing murder and weapon charges dating back to an incident in Yonkers more than two years ago. Anthony Burton - also known as David Burton and Anthony Faseoff - was arraigned by a Westchester County grand jury for his role in the fatal shooting of a man in Yonkers in April 2016.
