Downed Tree, Wires Close Route 36 Stretch In Hudson Valley
A stretch of Route 36 in Putnam County is closed to traffic thanks to a downed tree and wires in the road. The closure of Drewville Road (Route 36) between Stoneleigh Avenue and West Shore Drive was announced by the Carmel Fire Department on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 3:15 p.m. According to the fire department, it is not yet known when the road will reopen. Fire officials are now working to extinguish a brush fire and remove the tree from the road with the help of NYSEG. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Lane Closures: Traffic On Parkway In Northern Westchester To Be Affected
A series of lane closures over several days will interrupt traffic on a busy parkway in Northern Westchester. The Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant between State Route 100 (Bradhurst Avenue) and Hospital Road will be affected by both single and double lane closures along both directions, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The closures will begin on Tuesday, May 30, and last until Friday, June 2 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. They will facilitate construction work on the parkway.

Officials Advise Motorists To Expect Lane Closures On Cross County Parkway In Westchester
The New York State Department of Transportation has advised motorists to expect lane closures on the Cross County Parkway in Westchester. Officials said the closures are set to take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes between Exit 2 (Yonkers Avenue) and Exit 6 (Bronx River Parkway) in Yonkers from Monday, Feb. 14 through Friday, Feb. 18.
