Orange County resident Heather Callas, of Port Jervis, a mother of three who was reported missing Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, by her mother, had not been seen or heard from since Saturday, July 2. Callas left voluntarily and was believed to have traveled to New York City, according to the Port Jervis Police Department. Man Indicted For Fatal Stabbing Of Senior Citizen In Hudson Valley Road Rage Incident A Hudson Valley grand jury has indicted a 22-year-old man for manslaughter in connection with a stabbing death during a road rage incident. Orange County resident Horace Duke, of Wallkill, was indicted on Thursday, Nov. 3 for manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon for the Sunday, Oct. 30 incident, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Hudson Valley Man Stabbed To Death By 22-Year-Old During Fight, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was stabbed to death during a fight with another person. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Wallkill around 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Route 17 westbound exit ramp at the intersection with Route 302. According to Wallkill Deputy Chief of Police Antonino Spano, officers responded to the area for a report of a fight in progress. The incident took place in Orange County around 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 near the TJ Maxx store at 88 Dunning Road in Wallkill. Amayalise Perez was last seen in Orange County leaving a friend's house in Middletown on Tuesday, Sept. 20, according to police in the Town of Wallkill, where she is a resident. She is 5-foot-2 with "honey brown" hair and brown eyes, Wallkill Police said. Anyone with information on her whereabout is asked to contact the Town of Wallkill Police Department at 845-692-6757. Town of Wallkill Police Sergeant Barry Weissman, age 70, of Middletown, died on Saturday, Jan. 23, from the effects of COVID-19, the Town of Wallkill Police Department said.  The department, which said his death is considered a "line of duty death," added that Weissman began his career with the department in 1982 part-time, and became a full-time officer in 1997.
