Lane Closures: Parkway In Northern Westchester To Be Affected Multiple Days
Traffic on a major parkway in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures that will last for multiple days. Beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1, two lanes along the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant between State Route 100 and the Taconic State Parkway will close, Department of Transportation officials said. The lanes will be closed between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. through Friday, Feb. 3. The closure is to facilitate drainage work.

Serious Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle Causes Taconic Parkway Delays
This story has been updated. A serious crash involving an overturned vehicle caused heavy delays on a stretch of the Taconic State Parkway. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1 in Putnam County on the northbound side in Kent and initially blocked the right lane. Rubbernecking delays were reported on the southbound lanes. Northern Westchester Man Killed After Car Hits Rock Wall, Police Say
A man is dead after losing control of his vehicle and hitting a rock wall in the Hudson Valley, police said. The accident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Dec. 30 around 3 p.m. when the car traveling east on Route 301 in Putnam Valley about a mile west of the Taconic State Parkway suddenly lost control, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. A Westchester man was arrested after fleeing from police and taking them on a chase along the Taconic State Parkway before crashing in a stolen vehicle. The incident took place in around 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12. Two people were rescued when their vehicle fell down an embankment inches from a flooded stream after an accident in Northern Westchester. Officials Announce Upcoming Taconic State Parkway Ramp Closure
State officials announced an upcoming ramp closure on the Taconic State Parkway. The ramp from the southbound parkway in Dutchess County to Exit 37A (I-84 eastbound) in East Fishkill will close on Wednesday, Sept. 28, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Officials said the ramp will be closed to accommodate guide rail repairs. "Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Exit 35 (Miller Hill Road) to the Taconic State Parkway northbound to Exit 37A (Interstate 84 eastbound) as an alternate," the department said.
