The incident took place around 3:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 when the department was called to a residence on Sunset Drive in Croton-on-Hudson for a death investigation.  When officers arrived on the scene they were exposed to an "unknown" type of chemical agent that a person had used to commit suicide, said Croton-on-Hudson PD Lt. HazMat Called To Scene Of Northern Westchester Death Investigation Click here for an updated story: Two Police Officers Exposed To 'Unknown' Chemical Agent Police on the scene of a death investigation in Northern Westchester have requested HazMat assistance. According to the Croton-on-Hudson PD's dispatch unit, police were called to a residence on Sunset Drive around 3:22 p.m. Wednesday. Officials did confirm that HazMat has been called, but could not confirm why or if any first responders are in danger or ill from an incident at the scene. This is a developing story.
