He can’t drive 55. Or even 65. A 23-year-old man was clocked by New York State Police troopers driving a Dodge Challenger 145 mph in a posted 65 mph zone on State Route 17 in Orange County. Troopers from Middletown on patrol at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, attempted to stop Jeremy Vanleuvan, 23, of Wanaque, New Jersey when he was spotted speeding up and passing vehicles in a reckless manner, police said. Police Issue 41 Tickets In Northern Westchester Speeding Detail
More than three dozen tickets were dished out by New York State Police troopers in the area during a special speed detail in Northern Westchester. On Tuesday, Feb. 18, troopers handed out 41 tickets along the Route 9 corridor during the targeted enforcement period in Cortlandt. Thirty-five of the 41 tickets were issued for speed-related infractions. Dozens of tickets were dished out by New York State Police troopers during a distracted driving detail on I-684 in Northern Westchester. New York State Police troopers from the Somers barracks issued 50 vehicle and traffic tickets to drivers committing various violations on a stretch of the interstate on Saturday, Feb. 1. Video: Man Live-Streaming Himself Driving 100 MPH Crashes Car On I-95, State Police Say
Sometimes a trooper’s accident report writes itself. Connecticut State Police said the operator of a vehicle was kind enough to publicly live stream himself traveling on Interstate 95 over the Gold Star Memorial Bridge near Montville while driving at speeds reaching 100 mph before crashing. Click here to view the video. The posted speed limit for the Gold Star Memorial Bridge is 55 mph. "Speeding and live streaming are not only dangerous, but it is also illegal," the department said. Luckily, the driver was wearing his seatbelt and wasn't seriously injured.

New York State Police troopers handed out four dozen tickets during a special speed enforcement detail on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Westchester over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
