Person Seriously Injured After Car Crashes Into Stone Wall In Northern Westchester One person suffered serious injuries after a car hit a stone wall in Northern Westchester.  The crash happened on Monday, January 2 around 4 p.m., when firefighters in Somers responded to an accident on Butlerville Road and found the vehicle heavily damaged after hitting the wall.  Two people were injured in the crash after being ejected from the car. One of the occupants suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, firefighters said. Both were taken to a hospital in the area.

More than 75 firefighters battled the blaze that started around 9:44 p.m. Tuesday in the basement of a home on Anita Road, said the Somers Fire Department. The fire, which spread to the first and second floor, left the homeowner, Nancy Haggerty, a lifetime Somers resident, without any belongings and missing her four cats. The department received a call for the fire at Kingsley's Deli & Pizzeria in North Salem around 10:49 p.m. Sunday, from a resident of one of the upstairs apartments who saw smoke coming from the building, Dreyer said.
