The robbery occurred at approximately 11:52 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Trustco Bank on Route 9 near Myers Corners Road in the town of Wappinger, according to state police. An investigation revealed a white man dressed in all black, with a black umbrella, and ski mask entered the bank and threatened the use of an explosive device to gain access to the vault, and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, police said. Man Caught Stealing $1.6K Computer At BJ's Wholesale Club After a monthslong investigation, a man from Poughkeepsie was taken into police custody for allegedly stealing more electronics and merchandise from a Dutchess County BJ’s Wholesale Store. In May, New York State Police investigators received a report from BJ’s on Route 9 in Wappinger of a larceny, when two vacuums and a Dell desktop computer were stolen, with a value of more than $1,600. Police said that after a four-month investigation, they identified Michael Horowitz, 27, as a suspect, and he was subsequently arrested.
