One Hospitalized In Route 6 Crash Between Car, Truck A crash between a car and a truck on Route 6 in Mahopac sent one person to the hospital.  The crash took place around noon, Wednesday, July 17, on Route 6 near Lupi Court, causing police to close one lane of the highway, said Jack Casey of the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department. Mahopac Fire, EMS and Fire responded, along with an ambulance, which transported one patient to Putnam Hospital.  The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Carmel Police.

A serious two-car crash is tied up traffic during the morning commute near the border of Northern Westchester and Putnam. The crash, reported just before 8 a.m. Monday, June 17, occurred on westbound Route 6 at the intersection of Windsor Road, just west of Mahopac Avenue in Somers. One of the vehicles involved landed well off the road. Delays lasted through the end of the morning commute.
