Motorists are being advised that double-lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 684 over a five-day span during the day. The northbound and southbound closures will be between Exit 3 (Route 22 in Armonk) and Exit 6 (Route 35 in Katonah), Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting. Massive Search Of Northern Westchester Reservoir Follows Report Of People, Dog In Trouble
Multiple reports of a group of people and then a dog on the ice who went missing on the Muscoot Reservoir in Northern Westchester set off a massive ice search that lasted more than four hours. The incident took place around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 when New York State Police received two calls, one of a people out on the ice with a pink sled and another about a dog stuck on the ice at the reservoir between Route 35 and Cherry Street in Katonah, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Motorists Experience Major Delays On July 4th Getaway Day
This story has been updated. There was gridlock, and one closure, on four of the area's major roadways as drivers hit the roadways on the eve of July 4th. A crash caused the closure of a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway near the border of Mount Kisco and Chappaqua. I-684 Lanes Reopen After Serious Crash
This story has been updated. Both the right and center lanes have reopened on a stretch of I-684 after a serious crash caused their closure for more than two hours on Thursday afternoon. The northbound crash occurred at Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah with stopped traffic at the scene and stop-and-go delays back to Route 172 (Exit 4) in Bedford before the lanes reopened just before 4 p.m. Hour-long delays were reported.
