Lane Closures Scheduled For I-84 Stretch Weekday lane closures are planned for a stretch of I-84 counties, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. The NYSDOT issued an advisory stating that there will be single-lane closures eastbound and westbound on I-84 in Putnam and Dutchess counties between Exit 44 (Route 52) in East Fishkill and Exit 65 (Route 312) in the town of Southeast, weekdays beginning Monday, June 14 through approximately Friday, June 25. Closures are scheduled for between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, weather permitting. During the closures, motorists can expect delays in the area.

I-84 Reopens Following Two-Vehicle Crash With Injuries Two people were injured during a two-vehicle crash that shut down westbound I-84 in Southeast for more than two hours. The crash took place around 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, about a mile east of Route 312, state police said. The drivers in both vehicles were taken to Danbury Hospital for unknown injuries. I-84 Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash With Injuries Causes Miles Long Backup This story has been updated. Interstate 84 was backed up for several miles following a wrong-way, head-on crash with injuries in Putnam. The eastbound crash took place around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 on the Exit 19 (Route 312) ramp in Southeast, said the New York State Police. Eastbound traffic was backed up to at least Bullet Hole Road until the crash was cleared by around 10 a.m. No information was available regarding the seriousness of the injuries.
