Fire Destroys Two-Story Home In Putnam A fast-moving fire destroyed a Putnam County two-story home Sunday. The fire broke around 3:35 p.m. at the home in Kent on Hortontown Road, the Kent Fire Department said.  When firefighters arrived, they found a fully-involved fire on the second-floor of the home that is located close to the Dutchess County border.  Mutual aid crews included Carmel, East Fishkill, Lake Carmel, and Putnam Valley fire departments, along with help from the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team and the Putnam County Fire Police, the department said.
