Person Fatally Struck By Metro-North Train In Westchester
A person was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train at a Westchester station, officials said. The incident happened on Wednesday, Oct. 18 around 5:40 p.m., when an unauthorized person on the tracks at Port Chester station was fatally struck by a westbound New Haven Line train, MTA officials said. The person's name has not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing. The incident caused delays of up to an hour on the New Haven Line on Wednesday evening, in addition to some cancellations. Person Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train
A person was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train overnight. The incident happened in Westchester County shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, just south of the Port Chester station, near the Kohl's Shopping Center. After trains were initially held at the scene, New Haven Line customers experienced delays of 45 to 50 minutes, according to Metro-North.
