Man Returning From Car Show Killed After 1967 Convertible Overturns On Hudson Valley Roadway
A Hudson Valley man coming home from a car show in his 1967 Chevy convertible was killed after hitting a guard rail.
The crash took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the town of Goshen on Route 94.
According to Deputy Chief Allen Faust, of the Goshen Police, John Smith, age 52, of the Village of Florida, veered off the roadway, hit a guard rail, and then an earth embankment before flipping over.
Smith was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by the town of Goshen Fire Department, Faust said.

Missing Hudson Valley Woman Found Dead, Police Say
A missing Hudson Valley woman who police have spent hundreds of hours searching for has been found dead in a wooded area.
Orange County resident, Brittany Hendershot, age 19, of Port Jervis, has been missing since Thursday, June 23, but was officially reported missing to police on Tuesday, July 5 by her mother.
Following the missing person's report, the Port Jervis Police Department initiated an investigation which revealed that Brittany was last seen in the Town of Wallkill, said Chief William Worden, of the Port Jervis Police.

Man Found Dead On Park Trail In Hudson Valley
A 73-year-old Hudson Valley man was found dead, apparently of natural causes, in the vicinity of a hiking trail in the area.
The resident of Philipstown, in Putnam County, was found on Monday, May 17 at the Schunnemunk State Park, located in Orange County, in the Town of Cornwall, said NYS Parks officials.
State Park Police, NYS Park Forest Rangers, Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, Town of Cornwall Police, Salisbury Mills FD, Cornwall FD, DEC forest rangers, and local EMS all responded to the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
Cause Of Death Revealed For Off-Duty Hudson Valley Sheriff Deputy
The shooting death and car crash involving a long-time Rockland County sheriff deputy late last year has been ruled a suicide by the Orange County Medical Examiner's Officer.
Frank Farina, 42, of Stony Point, and his wife, Jennifer Farina, were driving were driving on Long Mountain Parkway in the Town of Woodbury around 1:30 p.m., Nov. 14, when he was shot in the head, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a rock embankment, said state police.
