Yorktown Police are reminding residents of the annual Turkey Trot Road Race, and along with the fun run/walk, road closures. Sponsored by Sen. Terrence Murphy's Office, this year's event will begin on Front Street in front of the Pennysaver building at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 22. The runner's route includes: Front Street to Underhill Avenue, turn left to westbound Underhill Avenue. Underhill Avenue to Route 118, turning left to southbound Route 118. These 10 Roads Will Be Closed During Yorktown Grange Fair, Tractor Parade
There will be several road closures over the weekend as the Yorktown Grange Fair hosts its annual Tractor Parade. The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert advising motorists that at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, the parade will kick off at the Yorktown Fire Department fairgrounds on Veterans Road, continuing through Commerce Street to Hanover Street, before concluding at the Grande Fair grounds on Moseman Avenue. Traffic Alert For Yorktown Heights Engine Co. No. 1 FD Parade & Carnival
There will be temporary road closures in Yorktown on Wednesday night, June 20 as officials get set to celebrate the Yorktown Heights Engine Company No. 1 at its annual parade and carnival. Yorktown Police Chief Robert Noble issued an alert to residents on Monday warning that beginning at approximately 6:45 p.m., several roads will be closed in the town through the conclusion of the parade’s route.
