Facebook is hoping its users “like” the biggest redesign in the company’s 15-year history, which will be coming after a series of scandals have plagued the company.
Area native Mark Zuckerberg, who was born in White Plains, grew up in Dobbs Ferry and attended Ardsley High School, announced the redesign of the social media network at Facebook’s annual conference, F8, in California on Tuesday, April 30.

Sandy Hook Parents Ask Facebook For Protection From Conspiracy Group Claims
The parents of one of the children slain in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting are calling out Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for making his platform “a safe haven for hate.”
Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa, the parents of 6-year-old Noah Pozner, one of the 20 victims in the shooting, wrote an open letter lambasting Zuckerberg, who grew up in Westchester County.
