Agitated Man Blocks Hudson Valley Roadway With Truck, Camper, Refuses To Move, Police Say A 53-year-old man was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation after he blocked an area roadway for more than 90 minutes after parking his truck and camping trailer across the road. The incident took place in Ulster County around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12 on Route 212 in the town of Saugerties.  Saugerties Police responded to a 911 call for a report of a pick-up truck with an attached camping trailer that had parked sideways on the New York State Thruway overpass, blocking all four lanes of traffic on Route 212, said Chief Joseph Sinagra, of the Saugerties Police.…

Three Killed In Crash Between Tractor-Trailer, Two Cars In Hudson Valley Three people were killed in a crash involving three vehicles on a stretch of the New York State Thruway in the Hudson Valley. The crash, involving a tractor-trailer and two cars, happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 in Ulster County near Exit 19 on the southbound side of I-87 in the town of Ulster. Westchester Woman Killed In Apparent Weather-Related Crash, Police Say A Westchester woman was killed in an apparent weather-related crash on a stretch of I-87 in Ulster County, state police said. It happened on Monday, March 23 at around 5:15 p.m. during snowy conditions in the town of Saugerties in the area of mile marker 104.1. A preliminary investigation at the scene determined that a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling southbound when it exited the roadway on the right shoulder and struck the guide rail. Body Of Bridge Jumper Pulled From Hudson River The body of a 53-year-old woman who jumped from the Mid-Hudson Bridge between Highland and Poughkeepsie was pulled from the Hudson River on Monday afternoon after a two-and-a-half hour search, authorities said. The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was a resident of Marlboro in Ulster County, Town of Lloyd Police said. Police Locate Missing 12-Year-Old Hudson Valley Boy A Hudson Valley boy who was missing for a day has been located by police in a hospital waiting room. Jordan Acres, 12, of Kingston went missing about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday when he was last seen near the Boys & Girls Club, said Kingston Police. Police found the boy about 24 hours later at the Kingston Hospital waiting room trying to stay warm, said Det. Lt. Thierry Croizer. "He wanted to spend time with friends and then looked for a warm spot to stay," Croizer said. The boy was afraid he would get in trouble, and wasn't a runaway, police said.
