'Suspicious Object' Found In Yard In Westchester: Developing
Authorities are conducting an investigation after a Westchester homeowner found a suspicious object in their yard, police said. The object was found on Tuesday evening, Aug. 15, when a Yonkers homeowner on Abner Place reported a suspicious item in their yard to the city's police department, according to Detective Sergeant Frank M. Live Hand Grenade Removed From Westchester Home
A bomb squad had to carefully remove a live hand grenade from a Westchester home after it was discovered during a basement cleanup. The incident happened at a home in White Plains when the Westchester County Police Department's Hazardous Devices Unit was called to the residence after the grenade was found, the department announced on Wednesday, May 24. Westchester County Police “wowed” fifth-graders in Irvington, showcasing some of the technology used to battle crime in the region.
