19: Alert Issued After Employee Tests Positive At Area Recycling Center
An employee working at a Hudson Valley recycling center has tested positive and anyone who brought materials there may have been exposed, health officials are warning. Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health Commissioner Anil Vaidian issued an alert on Tuesday, Dec. 1 cautioning that an employee at the Town of Rhinebeck Transfer Station on Stone Church Road tested positive for the virus. Warning Issued For Aggressive Fox At Large In Hudson Valley
An aggressive fox that may have rabies that was reported in the area has prompted a warning for residents to be wary of the animal. The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health said that on Wednesday, Sept. 19, the fox was seen in Rhinebeck on West Market Street near Starr Library. They noted the behavior may suggest the fox has rabies. It remains at large in the area. Residents are being warned to avoid any contact between the fox and any people or domestic animals.
