Man Sentenced In Mother's Fatal Stabbing In Westchester A 29-year-old man is heading to prison for a quarter of a century after pleading guilty to killing his mother. Westchester County District Attorney announced on Wednesday that Andre Coverdale, 29, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of first-degree manslaughter in March in the stabbing death of his mother, Dawne McCray in Yonkers. Son, 29, Pleads Guilty To Stabbing His Mother To Death In Westchester A 29-year-old man pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of his mother in Yonkers, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino. Andre Coverdale pleaded guilty on Thursday, March 15 to first-degree manslaughter, a Class B felony, in the stabbing death of Dawne McCray of Yonkers.  County Court Judge Barry Warhit accepted the plea.
