2-Car Crash Shuts Down Busy Hudson Valley Intersection, Sends Person To Hospital A two-vehicle crash caused a busy Hudson Valley intersection to close for almost an hour and caused injuries.  The collision happened in Putnam County on Sunday, July 21 just after 5:30 p.m., when two cars crashed at the intersection of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road (Route 34) in Mahopac.  According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, one person received medical transport while another was taken to a hospital.  The intersection was closed for around 40 minutes until the cars involved were removed.

3 Hospitalized After Car Strikes Pole In Mahopac Three people were taken to a hospital following an early morning crash in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Feb. 3 just before 4:30 a.m., when a car crashed into a pole on Croton Falls Road in Mahopac near the Westchester border, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, firefighters said. Fallen Wires Cause Brush Fire In Hudson Valley A brush fire caused by fallen power lines shuttered a road in the Hudson Valley until crews could put it out.  The incident happened on Friday, Feb. 3, around 11 a.m. when firefighters and police in Putnam County responded to a fire in Mahopac located in the area of Croton Falls Road and Cole Drive.  There, first responders found fallen power lines and a brush fire.
