1-Year-Old Boy, Woman Killed In Horrific Two-Vehicle Route 9 Crash A 1-year-old infant and a 48-year-old woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy stretch of Route 9. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 1, on Route 9 in Wappingers Falls, in the area of New Hackensack Road, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.  An initial investigation revealed a 2017 Honda CRV, driven by Loraine Baker, age 48, of Poughkeepsie, was southbound on Route 9 and rear-ended a southbound 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, Hicks said. Official Pleads Not Guilty To Drunk Driving In Wrong-Way Westchester Crash A 22-year-old official who was allegedly impaired when he was involved in a Westchester crash that left two hospitalized, was back in court this week. Yonkers Deputy Communication Director Akeem Jamal, 22, pleaded not guilty to multiple charges that include driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, for his role in the Sunday, Sept. 15 crash on Central Park Avenue.
