Chappaqua CSD Announces Greeley Principal's Resignation, Names Successor
The Chappaqua Board of Education announced that Horace Greeley High School Principal Robert Rhodes will resign from his job by the end of this month. School Board members accepted Rhodes' resignation during a special meeting on Friday, June 22 at the district’s Education Center. Rhodes, who has served in his position for six years, has been on paid leave since June 5. No details about Rhodes’ resignation were released by school district officials. A Westchester native has been identified as the survivor of an extremely rare and much-publicized fatal cougar attack that occurred last week in the Cascade Mountains near Seattle. Police Presence Requested At Northern Westchester HS Lacrosse Game
Police in North Castle were recently called to Byram Hills High School in Armonk after a trio of parents were allegedly heckling referees at a lacrosse game. According to a North Castle police report released on Thursday, on May 5, Byram Hills High School Athletic Director Rob Castagna requested an officer for police presence at the press box for the conclusion of a lacrosse game as a precaution. Three Byram Hills High School seniors have won the 2018 Award for Aspirations in Computing from the Hudson Valley Affiliate of the National Center for Women & Information Technology, and 11 received honorable mention for the award.
