There were over 200 teams participating in all divisions. The kindergarten through second-grade team had four wins and no losses. The third- and fourth-grade team had two wins and two losses. The program's goal of introducing and encouraging lacrosse in the Ossining community along with emphasizing good sportsmanship were on display at this tournament and at all the games this season.
Ben Zebelman, the third- and fourth-grade coach said, "We are so proud of the efforts of our players. They have been outside working hard since March 9, and the tournament on Saturday was a great way for them to show all that they have learned. One thing in particular that we pride ourselves on is growing the game here in Ossining. We have a few players that play year-round, some that play only in the spring, and some where this is their first-ever lacrosse team experience. We pride ourselves on building lacrosse fundamentals, sportsmanship and athleticism, all skills that will serve these athletes well in the future whether they are playing lacrosse or any other sport."
