MAHOPAC, N.Y. - The No. 11 seed Ossining High baseball team hit the road Saturday to take on sixth-seeded Mahopac in a Class AA opening-round playoff game in Mahopac.
In his most impressive performance of the season, Indians senior captain Brendan White picked up the win on the mound for Mahopac, going all 10 innings to earn a 2-1 victory over the Pride.
White also connected on the game-winning hit, smacking a one-out, line-drive into the left-center field gap with two on in the bottom of the 10th. The rip scored Anthony Mirtditaj - who opened the inning with a single - with the winning run.
Eric Fox had the only other RBI for Mahopac, which improved to 15-7, and will play Mamaroneck in a quarterfinal on Monday.
Keenan Grimley took the loss for the Pride, which ended their season at 10-11.
