OSSINING, N.Y. – Westchester Community College will host state Sen. David Carlucci for a seminar on Thursday, June 6 in Ossining to discuss how families can plan and afford to pay for college, with discussion from financial aid specialists.
WCC Office of Student Financial Aid Assistance will also hold a Q-and-A panel to answer questions and assist parents and students about funding for higher education.
“A college education has become an even greater necessity in today’s new economy, yet too many students find themselves unable or unwilling to pay for the rising costs of tuition,” Carlucci said. “The goal of this seminar is to provide them and their parents with the right tools and options for how to pay for this expense without being saddled with mountains of debt after graduation.”
The event will take place Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Westchester Community College Ossining Extension Center, at 22 Rockledge Ave.
Registration is required. To signup, contact Carlucci’s Westchester office by calling (914) 941-2041 or email carlucci@nysenate.gov for more information.
