Many former students at TESA placed high in several different categories. Several of the students studied with Mike Rubbo, director of conservation science, and Hillary Siener, conservation scientist at Teatown.
“We were excited to sponsor several awards at (Westchester Science and Engineering Fair) 2016 and are thrilled that so many of our former students have been recognized for their accomplishments at the event," Teatown’s Executive Director Kevin Carter said. "These young students all have bright futures ahead of them in the field of environmental science and Teatown is honored to have played a role in their education.”

In addition, Teatown sponsored the Teatown Young Conservationist Award that was given to projects aimed at protecting natural habitats and/or ecosystems. The winners of the Animal Science Award included Alison Kempf-Haxton and Yfke Havinga of Mamaroneck High School, and Cameron Garzon of Fox Lane High School.
George Raxworthy of Fox Lane High School won the Teatown Young Conservationist Award in the Environmental Science category. The Teatown Young Naturalist Award was given to Nathan Perry of Dobbs Ferry High School and Jennifer Meikle of Ossining High School for Animal Science.
