For some families, the start of the school year brings with it the uncertainty of providing their children with the school supplies they need.
Since mid-August, Carlucci has encouraged residents to drop off school supplies at his Ossining district office to help students who otherwise would not be able to afford them.
“Educating the future leaders of tomorrow means making sure they have the essential tools to achieve academic success today,” Carlucci said. “Through my annual school supply drive, students will be prepared for the upcoming school year."
The Ossining School District also had a mobile food pantry for families in need.
