OSSINING, N.Y. -- It can be a scary time when students move up to a new elementary school. That's why the Roosevelt School recently held a fifth-grade orientation for all incoming fifth-grade students.
During the event, students and parents got a chance to hear about what to expect during the upcoming school year from Principal Stephen Hancock.
Hancock discussed the basic, but important things parents need to know including where to drop off and pick up, lunch, school expectations and the Capstone Project.
In addition, parents were able to register for O'blast emails from the school and to hear from outgoing Parent Teacher Association President Kerri DiMicelli and incoming PTA president Christine Consiglio.
