OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining High School senior Aaron Maxwell will be honored with a 2015 Earth Day Award at Westchester County's Earth Day celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Croton Point Park.
The event will feature live music and entertainment, environmental exhibits, a farmers' market, raffles, a mobile document shredder and activities for children.
Maxwell is one of six Intel Science Talent Search semifinalists from Westchester receiving an Earth Day Award for research on the environment.
Maxwell's project is about juvenile American eels in the Hudson River and is titled “Sediment Size and River Bottom Composition Affects the Settlement of Juvenile Anguilla rostrata in the Hudson River.”
