Dear Colleagues, Parents/Guardians and Community Members:
After 19 years of dedicated service to the students, staff, and community of the Ossining school district, Dr. Angela White, assistant superintendent for administrative services, has officially announced her retirement effective July 1, 2015.
Dr. White is a fearless leader who has accomplished a great deal on behalf of all students. She has worked tirelessly in order to accomplish district and school-based goals on behalf of all students in the district.
During her tenure as assistant superintendent and as building principal, Dr. White has been instrumental in many district successes, including but not limited to the implementation of First Steps, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Response to Intervention, Teacher Expectations Student Achievement (TESA), the reorganization of our elementary schools, and various literacy initiatives.
Dr. White is no stranger to the staff, parents/guardians, and community members of Ossining. After 15 years as an educator in the New York City Board of Education, Dr. White served as an educational leader as principal of Roosevelt School, Brookside School, and assistant superintendent.
Within those roles, she has exemplified herself as a true student advocate and has always put the needs of children first and foremost in all decisions. She is respected and loved by all who have worked closely with her.
In summary, our entire community benefits from Dr. White's leadership and passion for learning. All of us here will miss Dr. White and will long remember her contributions to our school district. Please join me in wishing Dr. White all the best in her retirement and future endeavors.
Sincerely yours,
Raymond Sanchez
