With the overwhelming deficit, Tripodi conceded last night.
Borgia said he was grateful for the support of her constituents.
"I am looking forward to continuing to serve the 9th district," Borgia said. "It's a nice win. Their approval is appreciated."
Borgia said she loves campaigning and being able to meet so many people.
"I am looking forward to serving them for two more years,"
Borgia said she wishes County Executive Robert Astorino, who won re-election last night, well and hopes they can work together.
Borgia was running for her second term while Republican Peter Tripodi is on the Ossining Town Board.
District 9 covers Briarcliff Manor, Croton-on-Hudson, Ossining, Cortlandt and Peekskill.
