Ossining Police Officer Jeff Chavez Promoted To Detective

OSSINING, N.Y. -- There's a new detective in Ossining.

Officer Jeff Chavez was appointed to detective Wednesday, having been a member of the Ossining Police Department for twelve years. During that time he has been a part of the Police Mountain Bike Unit, SWAT Team, and Street Crime Unit.

Policing in Ossining is a family affair for the Chavezes. Jeff's brothers, J.P. and Addison are also members of the force.
