OSSINING, N.Y. (Update) An Ossining woman who reportedly threatened to jump off a bridge with her two young children Tuesday morning never actually attempted to do so, Village of Ossining Police said Tuesday.
She made some ... statements to a customer service representative [with Con Edison] saying she was going to go to a bridge, said Lt. Michael McElroy, Ossining Police spokesman. She was a Con Ed customer who made some threats over a late electrical bill.
The customer service representative notified police of the threats at around 9 a.m. Tuesday, McElroy said. The woman, whose name was not released, was located by police at an Ossining business around 10 a.m., and police found no evidence that she had attempted suicide. McElroy said no charges were filed in the incident.
She went to work and took her kids to daycare. And Police talked to her at work and they talked to the kids at the daycare, he said. We cant confirm what she said the customer service rep, but she never left work.
