OSSINING, N.Y. - A manhunt is underway in Ossining after a suspect fled on foot into the woods after a high-speed police chase.
Shortly after 9 a.m. on Thursday morning, police attempted to make a routine traffic stop in Ossining, when the suspect sped away before crashing on Pinesbridge Road and fleeing into the woods on foot, prompting a search that includes New York State and Yorktown police units, aerial and K-9 units.
The police have not released a description of the suspect, though they confirmed that he is not believed to be a danger to the community.
