A Norwalk driver was nearly twice the legal BAC limit when police stopped him for speeding in Wilton last week, authorities said. Ankit Bhutani, 27, was behind the wheel of a 1989 BMW 325i and heading south on Danbury Road near Ridgefield Road around 12:02 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, when he was stopped by a Wilton police officer unit for traveling 70 mph in a 35 mph zone and unsafe passing, the department said. The crash happened on Thursday, Dec. 12 around 2:45 p.m., when a car crashed into the Optum Medical Care building at 342 Route 202 in Somers, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. I-684 Reopens After 2 Tractor Trailers Jack-Knife, Leave Roadway In Northern Westchester
Part of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester has cleared following a crash involving two jack-knifed tractor-trailers. The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 16 at around 6 a.m., when two tractor-trailers were involved in a crash on I-684 northbound in North Castle, according to New York State Police. The two vehicles jack-knifed and went off the roadway as a result of the wintery weather, police said. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The interstate is now open to traffic.
