Marie Zakreski, 86, Ossining Resident

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining resident Marie Zakreski died on Saturday, Feb. 6. She was 86.

She was born in Ossining on Sept. 12, 1929, in Ossining to Robert and Minnie (DiPillo) DeCuircio.

Zakreski worked for Cambridge Instruments as a medical instrument technician.

She is survived by her children, Roberta Zakreski of Croton-On-Hudson, Barbara Jones of Montgomery and William Zakreski of Mohegan Lake; grandchildren Michael Heffernan, Elizabeth Cottrill, Rebecca Meyer and Rachel Jones; and great-granddaughter Charlotte Meyer.

Zakreski was predeceased by her husband, Bernard; and sister Rose Antonini.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Leach & Thomas, 32 State St., in Ossining. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at St. Ann's Church, with interment at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
