YONKERS, N.Y. -- Joseph J. Salvati of Yonkers died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at age 98.
Salvati was the former president of Salvati Food Inc. in the Bronx.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carmela, of 63 years and his wife, Marie Bisogne, of six years. He was also predeceased by his son John.
He is survived by his children, Daniel, Annette Claudine and Joseph, and daughters-in-law, Geraldine and Lorraine. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Liane Minster, Laura Picarella, Suzette, Lisa, Joseph J. Salvati and Chiara Nilsson-Salvati, and his three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kristin and Nicholas Minster.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 10:45 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers, if weather permits. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
The family will be present on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at F. Ruggiero & Sons Inc., 732 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY 10704. Phone: 914-375-1400.
