OSSINING, N.Y. -- J. Edward Burguiere, Jr. a longtime resident of Ossining passed away Thursday, March 30. Eddie was born in Ossining on August 4, 1932, and was the son of the late Julius Edward and Mary (Johnson) Burguiere. He was 84.
Burguiere attended Ossining schools and was a longtime mechanic at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. He was a member of the Ossining Fire Department, Monitor Hose Co. No. 4 for over 50 years. He was a member of the Ossining Gospel Assembly and later, Fishkill Baptist Church.
Burguiere is survived by three children, Deborah (William) Mackey, Edward (Cheryl) and Craig (Peggy); his daughter-in-law Susan; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Carlson) and his son Steven.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dorsey Funeral Home. The services will be held at Dorsey on Saturday, April 22, at 9 a.m. Interment at Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Fireman’s Home in Hudson, NY.
