OSSINING, N.Y. - Iris Yerks of Ossining died April 6. She was 83.
Yerks was born April 19, 1929. She graduated from Ossining High School in New York.
Yerks is survived by sons, Robert, Frank, Gary, Thomas and David; daughters, Roberta, Virginia, Irene, Patricia and Caroline; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Oldham Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, Ky. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. April 11, at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in Richmond, Ky., with Fr. Jim Sichko officiating. Final internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a date/time to be announced.
Iris and Robert have asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in honor of Iris A Yerks, to the Wounded Warrior Project, National Processing Center, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
