Ida Daggett, 92, Of Ossining, Briarcliff Manor

OSSINING, N.Y. — Ida Daggett, a former resident of Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, died Tuesday, March 24. She was 92.

Daggett was born in Ossining on Jan. 3, 1923, to Giuseppe and Mary DeRocco (nee Vallarelli), graduating from Ossining High School and moving to Briarcliff in 1956.

She worked at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator and at Briarcliff College for over 25 years as a receptionist until her retirement.

Daggett was predeceased by her sisters, Anna D'Adamo, Helen Slater and Josephine DiCioccio. She is is survived by her two children and their families, along with several nieces and a nephew. Daughter Beverly, son-in-law Dennis and two grandsons Matthew and Christian, reside in Portland, Ore. Son Thomas, daughter-in-law Darlene and four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jamieson, Anneliese and Amelia, reside in Devon, Pa.

A funeral Mass is set for Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church, with interment to follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
