OSSINING, N.Y. – Catherine M. Gioio of Ossining died Dec. 24. She was 95.
Gioio was born Dec. 26, 1916, in Ossining to Sebastiano to Theresa Frugis. She worked as a florist in Ossining before getting married. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl.
She is survived by a son, Philip; two daughters, Carolee Sunderland and Karen Willis; a sister, Antoinette Daddazio; and 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Leach and Thomas Funeral Home in Ossining. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Church in Ossining. Burial will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
