Bart D’Uva, 86, Of Ossining, Owned Pircio Cleaners

OSSINING, N.Y. - Bart D'Uva of Ossining died Nov. 24. He was 86.

D’Uva was born Aug. 25, 1927, to Carmine and Annunziata (Velardo) D'Uva in Sassinoro, Italy. He served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Pircio Cleaners for many years. He was a past-president of the Ossining Rotary Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Ossining Fire Dept., Holla Hose, and the American Legion Post 506.

D’Uva is survived by his daughters, Nancy Variano (Joseph), Marybeth Walton, Kathleen McFadden, Eileen Gilligan (James), Andrea Enterlein (Kevin), Lisa D'Uva; brothers, Angelo, Michael, Joseph; sister, Elizabeth King; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne; and sister, Victoria Haggerty.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State Street Ossining. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27  at St. Ann's Church, burial at St. Augustine's Cemetery.
