Amelia A. Dickan, 95, Lifelong Ossining Resident, Retired Seamstress

OSSINING, N.Y. - Amelia A. Dickan (Millie), a lifelong resident of Ossining, died Saturday, June 8. She was 95.

Dickan was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Ossining, daughter of Michael and Theodora (Iannaccio) Sarcone. She was a graduate of Ossining High School class of 1935. She was a retired seamstress at Royal Blazers in Ossining and a former employee of Aramark at Ossining High School. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Ossining.

Dickan is survived by her son, Ernest E. (Carol Ann) of Lewisville, Texas; siblings, Nicholas Sarcone, Claire Martinelli; a granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ernest F.; and her siblings, Edith, John, Michael II, Viola, Susan and Raymond.

Calling hours are Thursday, June 13 from 9 to 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at St. Augustine's Church. Interment Dale Cemetery.
