OSSINING, N.Y. -- Authorities in Westchester County, New York City and elsewhere are searching for a 15-year-old Ossining girl missing for more than three weeks.
Shilah Carter, whose is to celebrate her 16th birthday on Jan. 8, is believed to have run away on Dec. 11, according to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Authorities believe she may be traveling in the Bronx, Brooklyn or Staten Island.
Carter is black, stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds, according to authorities. She has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Carter or her whereabouts is asked to call the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-3543.
