The proposed general fund for next year is nearly $5.35 million, according to the report. The ambulance district is slated to receive nearly $613,000; the proposed water budget appropriation is nearly $55,000.

If town officials approve the budget as is, property owners will see a tax increase of about 1.6 cents per dollar paid on the taxable assessed value.

“These tough economic times have spared few of us entirely," Donnelly wrote in her proposal.

“Overall, the news is good, but each day brings a new set of challenges.”

The Town Board will hold its final meeting for 2014 on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ossining Public Library.

A public hearing on the proposed 2015 budget will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Police/Court Facility, 88 Spring St.?
