Ossining Community Center Offering Use of Showers

OSSINING, N.Y. – The Ossining Recreation Department is offering use of showers at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center for those still without power after the weekend snow storm.

“There were a few people here yesterday to use the showers,” Henry Atterbury, the superintendent of Ossining Recreation and Parks, said on Tuesday. “Those people who have been without power for a number of days are taking advantage of it.”

For those who need to charge their cell phone or use the Internet, the Ossining Library, which was closed Monday due to lack of power, is now open for its regular hours.

Con Edison is distributing dry ice to help people preserve their food at these locations: BJ’s, 3303 Crompound Rd. in Yorktown Heights, IBM/Town Park, 205 Business Park Dr., Armonk and Midway Shopping Center, 955 Central Park Ave., Yonkers.
